Jennifer is the Executive Director of Anne Arundel County’s new Nonprofit Center at 41 Community Place, an initiative created to build the capacity of local nonprofits to support the health and wellbeing of all county residents. With almost 30 years’ experience in project management and evaluation, grant writing, communications, and program development crossing education, nonprofit and government sectors, she says she might be getting advanced in years, but is more committed than ever to help people who help people (and horses). Jennifer stayed out of trouble before college because of horses and was able to reconnect with the equine industry in 2013, volunteering for a local horse rescue and later working for both the American Horse Council and Maryland Horse Council. Jennifer holds a PhD in higher education administration and a masters in adult education from the University of South Florida.
