Spectators, vendors, and competitors should not wait until the last minute to book their accommodations. October is a busy time in Lexington, and not only with Keeneland racing: there are frequently other major events taking place at the University of Kentucky or elsewhere in town that put pressure on hotel room inventory. The Kentucky Horse Park campground will sell out early. We recommend that attendees consider using sites like HomeAway or AirBnB and also look at towns such as Georgetown, Midway, Versailles, and Paris for further lodging options outside of Lexington that are still relatively close to the Horse Park.
